The gbook by globalista

Last week the new gbook by globalista on the topic „reverse”, which was also partly written by members of the Zugvögel, was finalized. It contains texts by and about Mauro, who is one of our former volunteers, Marthe and Yogesh who are volunteers with us right now, about the project in which Yogesh works within his voluntary service and also about the Zugvögel as such.

Globalista writes concerning the gbooks:

The gbooks all have different topics and are always elaborated in cooperation between former weltwärts volunteers and partners in the projects. The gbooks are very welcome to spread in use as educational material in-, as well as, outside of schools and also within the pre- and postprocessing of the weltwärts program.

The gbooks are part of our effort to organize a transfer of knowledge from south to north or, put another way: The transformation of the vivid experiences of weltwärts volunteers in handy materials, formats for organizing events and methods of networking for global and intercultural learning.

You can find the gbook here. (German)

Zugvögel on TV

In their sequel „Menschen – das Magazin“ („People - the Magazine“) the ZDF has reported on the Zugvögel volunteer Shaban Masengesho Zerubabeli and his voluntary service in Mainz in the framework of the Zugvögel program! (starting min. 5:40 in the video)

Marthe in the Villa Global

The Zugvögel volunteer Marthe from Rwanda is working in the youth museum Berlin Schöneberg. A few weeks ago it opened a new exposition, which Marthe has substantially contributed to. The motto of the Villa Global reads as follows: discover the diversity of the people of Berlin – and also what they have in common! 15 people from different backgrounds have designed their rooms here and they want you to take part in their life within this framework.

Marthe also has her room there and looks forward to a visit from you! A report by the Tagesspiegel concerning the exhibition can be found here.
