Dear friends and interested parties,
We at the association ‘Zugvögel – Grenzen überwinden e.V.’ (Migratory Birds – Overcoming Borders) invite you to attend the Camp Bewegungsfrei-HOW!? (Freedom of Movement HOW!?) from 4 to 6 July at the Landhaus am Heinberg education and leisure centre near Kassel (more information here). Economic, political, social and private – freedom of movement concerns us all! Our programme reflects the diversity of perspectives:
- ‘Bewegungsfrei-HOW!?’, a workshop on personal migration stories by Vientos del Sur (EC), Ts’ununetik (MEX), Esperance (RWA) and Zugvögel (DE)
- ‘Die Falle’ (The Trap) (https://afrique-europe-interact.net/2211-0-Die-Falle.html), a one-person theatre piece about the closed EU external border by Riadh Ben Ammar
- Stammtischtischkämpfer*innen-Seminar against right-wing slogans by Aufstehen gegen Rassismus
- ‘Die Macht des Visums’, documentary film by VisaWie? with discussion
- Capitalism and freedom of movement, a lecture by Fabian Georgi

General conditions
Accommodation at the education and leisure centre is in shared rooms (3-4 beds) and we can offer a shuttle service from Warburg train station so that you don’t have to walk the last few kilometres. There will be a vegetarian-vegan KüFA (kitchen for everyone) on site. We can also reimburse travel costs of up to €80. Please keep your train tickets for this purpose!
Arrival is on Friday, 4 July, between 12 noon and 3 p.m., and departure is ideally on Sunday, 6 July, from 1 p.m. onwards. If you have other commitments and need to arrive later or leave earlier, you are of course welcome to do so. However, please note that our shuttle service is based on the camp programme.
Should anybody need translation, we can offer interpretation in English – and most probably! – Spanish. We will try to keep the language barrier low and are looking forward to internationals!
Registration
To finance the programme, we also require a contribution of €30 per person for the entire weekend, which must be transferred to our association account with the reference ‘Bewegungsfrei-HOW!? 2025’:

You can register to participate using this form. We can offer approximately 20 places and will try to allocate them in order of registration, so please register as soon as possible! Registration closes on SUnday, 22nd of June.
Once you have registered AND the participation fee (€30) has been received in our association account, we will send you a confirmation email with information on travel expenses and a packing list.
